Adoption Criteria

To adopt one of 365 Pet Connection fostered animals, we ask that you meet the following criteria:

  • Understand that the dog I adopt is being adopted as a member of the family and will be an indoor pet.
  • Have an ID verifying address, such as a driver's license.
  • Not be adopting an animal for a Gift or on behalf of someone else.
  • Be willing and able to provide any necessary veterinary care and training of the dog if any issues arise.
  • Advise 365 Pet Connection immediately if any problems arise after adoption and be willing to work on them; many of these pets have been through a lot and are rescue pets, not perfect pets.
  • Allow a 2 week adjustment period for the animal to get to know your family and its new environment.
  • Have a suitably fenced yard prior to bringing the dog home.
  • You must keep fresh water and bedding available at all times.
  • You agree to keep your pet as a welcomed family member until death do you part....
  • Fill out the Adoption Application Form.
  • Interview with one of our volunteers. This is usually done over the phone.
  • Allow an inspection of your home and yard.
  • Attend a meet & greet where all two and four legged members are present
  • Sign the Adoption Contract.
  • Pay the Adoption donation. Be willing to provide post adoption updates/pictures when requested by our staff.
  • Fully commit the next 10-15 yrs with your newly adopted family member, depending on the dogs age at time of adoption.

Adoption Policy

1.    365 Pet Connection has the right to reject any application that has provided false, misleading or incomplete information.

2.    365 Pet Connection reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone who does not meet the requirements listed above or who is determined to be an unsuitable match for our foster animals based on the interview process, the home check, and/or responses and references submitted.

3.    365 Pet Connection does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or national origin.

If your application is approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the animals fostered through 365 Pet Connections. If you are interested in one of our referral pets, it is your responsibility to contact that Rescue.

365 Pet Connection is not able to grant every application for adoption. Applications for an animal fostered through 365 Pet Connection are processed on a first come-first served basis, but are approved based on which application is the best match for the animal. Please note: Our foster animals are placed into the most suitable home according to their temperament and needs. It is not abnormal for multiple families to be interested in the same animal at the same time. 365 Pet Connection reserves the right to select the home we feel is the most appropriate for our animals. We have set these guidelines with careful thought and understand that your opinion may differ from ours.

    365 Adoption Application

365 PET CONNECTION reserves the right to deny adoption to anyone.  No animal will be adopted to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information.  We reserve the right to do a homecheck, fence inspection, and check veterinary references.
